Bonnie and her husband Daren welcomed my help and treated me very well during the two weeks that i helped the campaign.
We had a couple dozen volunteers who worked hard at phone calling, literature distribution, and putting up signs.
There were virtually no campaign forums -- just one at a mobile home park [only Bonnie and the Democrat attended].
Bonnie's campaign totally
deemphasized the "Libertarian" label.
That was strange for me, but i accepted it. I thought it might help.
We all thought that Bonnie's chances were good.
She has been elected three times to the Moreno Valley City Council.
And her opponents were weak.
The Republican (the favorite) is being investigated for campaign finance fraud.
The Democrat has no electoral experience.
The Natural Law candidate is a paper candidate.
We lost. Big-time.
