On 4-6 June 1999, I met several of my classmates of
the Class of 1974 of Saint Andrew's School, which is
located near Middletown, Delaware ("the hub of the East").
This is the school which was seen in the movie
"The Dead Poet's Society", and it is just as beautiful
in real life.
Back: Lyles, Eric, me (Obob), John E., Alan, Russell, Rob.
Front: Don, Dave, Joe, Rick, Henry, Matt, John M.
On greeting my classmates, I was flabbergasted:
I could not recognize them. It was as if someone had
fiddled with the Horizontal Adjust knob of my television.
But as time progressed I began to recognize them.
It was a real pleasure to spend some time with them,
and to get up to date on what they've been doing.
We gave a gift to the school in honor of our class
advisor, Bill Amos, who unfortunately was unable
to attend.
There were also rumors that our much
beloved and controversial wrestling coach
Mad Dog Madigan might appear, but alas he did
not. I hope he will appear next time, for I would
like to thank him for what he contributed to my life.
"And what is that?" you ask... Coach Madigan
personified *will*, that somewhat insane conviction that
you will definitely
positively
absolutely
without-a-question-of-a-doubt
succeed in an endeavor
as we did in our wrestling seasons.
Here are two photos from the smoke-filled room where
met the last SAS class ungraced by the female sex.

Pete M., Henry H., Carl M., and David H.

Clockwise from Carl M in the lower left:
Don H, Bob D, John M, John E, Joe H, Pete M, Henry H.
Also present at the reunion: Froggy (Matt) K,
Greg V, Rick V, and Alan M. Please forgive me
my omissions, if any.
