Sunday 28 September 2003:   To Lyon!

Our train left Kaiserslautern, Germany, in the early morning.
During our 2 hour layover at Metz, France, we recharged our laptop and worked on our website.

When we heard about the Park Tête d'Or, we decided to explore it the next day! Basillica on the hill Sunset over Lyon

Monday 29 September 2003:   Le Parc Tête d'Or!

On this fine day, we visited the Parc Tête d'Or, a gem of the beautiful city of Lyon!

Tuesday 30 September 2003:   Lyon to Senas!

We started our day with a visit to the Croix Russe Marché.

Wednesday 1 October 2003:   Sénas et Salon!

We started our day with a visit to the Sénas marché, and a walk around town.

And then, on the way to Salon, we visited a lovely orchard of olive trees...

With the help of a lovely young lady of SNCF, we were very happy to book a Sleeper Car to Venice!
We gave her a "Wedding CD" as a thank you.

Then we enjoyed a yummy lunch, and moved on to Salon, the village of Nostradamus (1503-1566)!

And then we came across a fantastic magical giant green mushroom,
alive with life and vibrant with color!

And then, driving through the lovely countryside, we happened upon a vast expanse of apples!!

And then we enjoyed a magificent chariot ride!

The next morning, the entire family came to see us off at the train station.
We enjoyed a picnic, and then said our goodbyes.
