An early morning trainride brought us to Janet & Terry in Farnham.

We spent a glorious day bicycling the countryside,
visiting Tilford and the Waverley Abbey ruins.

Founded in 1128, Waverley Abbey was the first Cistercian abbey to be established in England.
Building their monasteries in remote places far from worldly distractions,
the Cistercian monks devoted their lives to an unremitting round of prayer, study and manual labor.

In the evening, we took a walk through Farnham with Janet & Terry,
and then enjoyed a marvelous dinner cooked by Janet.
