Liberty could and should save the world.

Coercion is wrong.

It is that simple. [The solutions are not that simple;
however THE FRAMEWORK NEEDED FOR THE SOLUTIONS IS THAT SIMPLE].

"What is that framework?" you ask.

It is this:

"As long as you do not harm others, you may do as you please."

Coercion (one person forcing another to do something against their will) is wrong. Period. And it is counterproductive.

It just amazes me that other people don't see this more readily. But I've run for public office 5 times as a libertarian, I've talked to dozens of high school classes about liberty, and I am frustrated. I hope that liberty somehow wins out, and the world can see how peaceful, prosperous, environmentally clean, and happy a truly free society can be.

I dream of a land

where pollution is prohibited, and polluters must clean up their messes.
where we do not look toward government for solutions, but rather toward ourselves.
where schooling is voluntary, and students love school, and want to go.
where there is no such thing as an illegal substance, only dangerous or misused substances.
where no paperwork is required. It is a voluntarily chosen convenience.
where charity is freely chosen.
where the law is understandable, because it flows from the libertarian axiom (see above).

Our world is a prism,
to be viewed from many sides,
Look in one side -- see freedom,
from another, responsibility.
But from no side see coercion,
It only clouds the glass.
